Le Meridien Ho Chi Minh City Review

We were here for a short 2 nights stay to explore Ho Chi Minh city for the very first time. The hotel is modern and its facilities are very well maintained. The hotel is located in District 1 but it is not central. We had no qualms walking 15 minutes or even a short 5 minute Grab ride to the city and Dong Khoi street area. I had plotted out all the attractions, cafes and restaurants we wanted to visit, and it is all within walking distance.

We had a panoramic view of the Saigon river but the views is not something to shout about.

Our room is clean and had all the amenities we needed. We appreciated the daily turn down service and unlimited supply of bottled water.

The in-room dining food was great, we loved the beef pho which was served hot from the flask. It was certainly one of the best we had for our entire trip.

Also on our final night, we decided to order some in-room comfort food i.e. Grilled fish and Vietnamese fresh spring rolls paired with Soju we bought from Family mart.

What we loved most was the fantastic buffet breakfast at its Latest Recipe restaurant. We had plenty of the amazing Vietnamese iced coffee and their Americano did not disappoint either. In terms of quality, this was one of the best buffet breakfast spreads for sure. Some of our favorites are as follows.

We didn’t use the gym and pool but it looked like it was in tip top condition.

At around $150 a night including breakfast, the hotel certainly exceeded our expectations and we would not hesitate to return should we visit Saigon in future. 

Note: There is a Family Mart outlet just next to the hotel.
