4 Unforgettable Dining Experiences in Paris

Paris—the city of romance, art, and culinary wonders. On our first trip to the City of Lights, we immersed ourselves in its vibrant food culture, indulging in meals that were as memorable as the sights. From cruising along the Seine to dining in iconic settings, here are our four most unforgettable dining experiences in Paris.

1. A Scenic Feast on the Seine: Bateaux Parisiens Lunch Cruise

Our journey began with a two-hour lunch cruise aboard Bateaux Parisiens, departing from the base of the Eiffel Tower. This elegant river cruise offered breathtaking views of Parisian landmarks like Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, and the Musée d’Orsay.

Opting for the Privilege Service, we secured window seats that provided uninterrupted vistas. The meal was a gastronomic delight: a four-course menu featuring a starter, main course, cheese, and dessert. A bottle of wine, sparkling water, and coffee with petits fours completed the experience. The dishes were beautifully presented and decadent, making the journey as enjoyable as the sights. Before we knew it, the cruise was over, leaving us with full hearts and stomachs.

2. Indulgence at La Coupole

Next, we ventured to Montparnasse to dine at the legendary La Coupole, an Art Deco brasserie established in 1927. Famous for its seafood platters, we couldn’t resist ordering their Signature Platter, an indulgent selection of fresh oysters, crab, langoustines, prawns, and more.

The platter paired perfectly with a bottle of champagne served in traditional flutes. To complement our feast, we savored a rich, flavorful French onion soup, followed by a crème brûlée with a perfectly crisp caramelized top. Dining here felt like stepping back in time to a glamorous era of Parisian elegance.

3. Art Meets Cuisine: Musée d’Orsay Restaurant

Our next surprise came within the Musée d’Orsay, housed in a former train station. After exploring its world-renowned art collections, we dined at Le Restaurant, a stunning space adorned with frescoes, gilded details, and grand chandeliers.

The food tasted great and was reasonably priced, but keep in mind that you’ll need a museum ticket to dine here. Eating surrounded by such artistic grandeur made this an unforgettable experience, blending culture and cuisine seamlessly.

4. Rooftop Elegance at La Suite Girafe

We ended our culinary adventure at La Suite Girafe, located in Trocadéro, with panoramic views of the Eiffel Tower. This chic rooftop restaurant exuded Parisian luxury, from its stylish interiors to its impeccable service.

The food was on the pricier side, but every dish was a masterpiece of taste and presentation. Coupled with front row seats overseeing Eiffel Tower in the background, dining here felt like a scene from a dream.
