English Afternoon Tea with a View at E&O Hotel Penang
With the temporary closure of Eastern & Oriental (E&O) Hotel’s Heritage Wing for renovation, its popular English Afternoon Tea has been relocated to the Planters Lounge on Level 6. Thank god for that as we were treated to one of the most scenic panoramic views in Penang.
E&O Hotel’s Afternoon Tea is priced at RM76 nett per person and comes with finger sandwiches, cakes, pastries, scones and a pot of artisanal tea. The Afternoon Tea is a daily affair from 3:00 – 5:00pm. Guests can choose to dine inside or at the alfresco area on the spacious balcony. If you choose to dine outdoors, you can enjoy spectacular views and refreshing breeze, but beware not to leave your table unattended as the crows will be tempted to join in the party.
I must say this is one of my most pleasurable afternoon tea experience. Aside from the high tea delicacies, the relaxing ambient and overall feel really distinguish E&O Hotel from the others. I am looking forward to coming back, perhaps order a bottle of wine and chill at the pool area.
Good news for resident guests, at RM230.85 nett per person, you can enjoy a 4-course dinner by the pool with free-flow of wine and beer (limited to 10 couples only).
