Beso Rosado by ChinChin | Mediterranean Restaurant and Upscale Bar

Formerly known as Golden Shower by ChinChin, Beso Rosado is a restaurant and bar focusing on Mediterranean flavors and influences, partly inspired by their Executive Chef Jack Yeap, and his former El Faro Tapas Bar. Beso Rosado by ChinChin features a variety of small plates design for sharing among the table, all created around the idea to let fresh ingredients speak for themselves. The bar also features a quirky, playful and unique cocktail menu, curated by head mixologist Francesco Moretti; inspired by memories, nature and art, with a focus on homemade syrups, spices, herbs and infusions, paired with advanced mixology techniques and attractive presentations.

This was our 3rd visit in as many months. We were delighted that the set menus are back after its hiatus during the last visit. As its just two of us, naturally we ordered the set for 2 at RM159++.

The food was served promptly, with the Boquerones, Eggplant Bruschetta, Cured Salmon, Spanish Bacon and Salad presented all at once. To start, we ordered a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc at RM98. We noticed they had updated their wine list with more labels and a slight hike in price. All of their wines are sourced from The Wine Shop, so we recognized some of the labels and its retail prices. It is not a special occasion and we do not want to break the bank, so we were on the lookout for something more value for money.

For the 2nd bottle, we ordered the Paul Mas Estate’s GSM at RM110 which is excellent value. It goes well with the seafood paella and also the side order of the Black Truffle Spaghetti. For dessert, we ordered the La Pina which is some sort of pineapple pancake with coconut ice cream.

There’s no better way to end the night than by having cocktails and vodka shots by their pink fetish bar as the lights dim down and Shingo Nakamura’s tracks started playing. The vodka shots are courtesy of the bar manager. Thanks for that!

Yet another very enjoyable experience! Looking to come back soon with a bigger group to try the other set menus. Hopefully they will keep the wine prices checked.
