Georgetown Wines started operation in 2014, nestled in the heritage enclaves of Georgetown at the corner of Leith Street. Georgetown Wines is a wine bar and restaurant housed within an U-shaped building with different sections for indoor/outdoor dining, wine tasting, group gatherings and event space (The Barn). They have an exquisite selection of Old and New World wines, ranging from the established labels to the artisanal boutique labels. They offer wines by the glass, bottles to be enjoyed on the premises, and wines to go. Their restaurant serves a Mediterranean inspired Western menu to accompany and pair with their wines.

Grape Garage @Penang Museum Hotel
Hidden in the tiny street of Jalan A.S. Mansor alongside Penang Museum Hotel is the Grape Garage, a boutique wine shop offering a wide range of wines around the world. Grape Garage has been around since 2017 operating out of its 2 lot outlet. It may not have a big capacity but it surely has a good selection of wines at honest prices. To pair with your wine, Grape Garage also offers small bites, tapas and tidbits.

A private wine bar and restaurant with a vino-loving and friendly owner guarantees a good time for patrons. Located at Summerton Pesiaran Bayan Indah, this place operates in the evenings only dishing out Mediterranean small plates perfectly complemented by their wide range of wines. The owner is educated and knowledgeable, and provides good recommendation to suit individual’s palate and taste. Vantage Wine & Cigar Lounge
Vantage Wine had been operating for some time and is located at Vantage Point, Tanjung Tokong. They had relocated from the Ground Floor to the first floor at B-1-2 as of 1st September 2019. Their new place certainly looks impressive with a contemporary design featuring an exclusive bar, lounge and even designated cigar smoking rooms.
Vantage Wine is well-stocked and have a full range of wines from old to new world, champagne, whisky and liquor. The wine retails at reasonable prices with occasional sales and wine tasting events organized. I recently visited them, and was surprised to find the place quite fully occupied on a Friday evening. I wished they had a kitchen serving food which would certainly enhance the wine tasting experience. If you around the area, go check them out!

Just opened as recent as August 2020, The Three Wines are the creation of avid wine consultants with the passion to educate people about wines, wine cultures and wine appreciations. The Three Wines are a tapas bar and restaurant located at Bay Avenue, adjacent to the Summerton roundabout.

Vino Vino Bistro Penang (Permanently Closed)
Vino Vino Penang is located at Bay Avenue, adjacent to Queensbay Mall. They are part of a wine and liquor retailer cum restaurant under the ownership of Asiaeuro Wines & Spirits group. Their restaurant used to be popular serving Japanese Yakitori and Western-style food but had recently announced that their kitchen will be closed permanently.
Being part of Asiaeuro’s venture, Vino Vino stocks a vast variety of new and old world wines which you can order to drink in their bar or purchase. They also produce their own flagship sake named Saito Sake and Japanese Whisky which are available at great prices. If you are gin lover, they carry the super premium Scottish handcrafted Caorunn gin. Do check them out!
